Oracle’s end of support for older PeopleSoft releases, together with the chance to eliminate unwieldy customizations, streamline workflows and give users a more modern experience, drove the decision to move to PeopleSoft HCM 9.2.

A technical upgrade from PeopleSoft HCM 8.8 / PeopleTools 8.49 to HCM 9.2 / PeopleTools 8.54, covering Core HR, Base Benefits, Benefits Administration, Payroll for North America, Administer Workforce, Administer Training, Talent Acquisition Management, Monitor Absence, Employee and Manager Self-Service, and custom reports.

Comprobase began with comprehensive requirements gathering, then delivered an upgrade approach, end-state architecture, fit-gap analysis, keep/drop customization matrix, test strategy and implementation plan.

Using our upgrade methodology and Oracle’s recommended tools, Change Assistant and PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) images, we executed the two-step upgrade from 8.8 to 9.0 and from 9.0 to 9.2.

The client’s IT team was involved at every stage, which made knowledge transfer complete and timely. Early previews of the upgraded application let users confirm requirements before go-live.

We ran hands-on sessions to familiarize users with the new interface and delivered comprehensive training using a train-the-trainer model.
