TITLE: Workday Functional Consultant
DUTIES:
Gather client’s requirement from the current system and document them in a business requirement document (BRD).
Run the custom reports using SQL queries and convert it in the readable format for the new system
Organize meetings with the business and functional leads to discuss and document the business rules and content
Participate in the planning of project timeline and use Smartsheet to track the advancement of the project.
Perform risk analysis of the new requirements and log it as RAIDQ tickets
Access these risks with the project team and analyze its impact on the project timeline
Assist the project managers in building a reasonable timeline to deliver the product in a timely manner
Work in conjunction with the Workday Work Stream Leads/SMEs in the configuration and integration of the system to meet client’s business rules and requirements.
Conduct meetings with Workday consultants to discuss the business requirements and explain it in technical terms
Work on the configurations and integrations related to the project in the new system
Actively participate in receiving knowledge transfer from the Workday Work Stream team members to ensure self-sufficiency to support issue resolution.
Record all the sessions of knowledge transfer and make training material to provide it to the business leads
Convert the technical writing in business language and train the business leads to resolve the issues
Integrate the Payroll and other business rules with the Workday system using Core connectors for third party agencies.
Test the current payroll system and integrate the same rules in the new system as per the requirement to deliver the reports to the finance team
Build custom reports and validate the requirements against the old system
Analyze the data for loading it from old system to the new system using data storage tools like OACS
Write test cases using the current business scenarios and perform end to end testing for testing entire system configuration.
Work with testers to write all the test scenarios according to the business requirements
Explain and document the expected outcome of the test scenarios to the testers for testing the system successfully
Log all the defects that come out of testing using IT tools like JIRA and then coordinate with business and functional leads to resolve the issues
Research the solutions of the defects and present it to the team using MS PowerPoint to tackle the business needs.
Understand the defect and research at various platforms to find the proper solution of the defect
List all the probable solutions of the defect and present it to the project team to resolve the defect
Configure the final solution in the system and test it again to make sure it is working as expected without any defects
Education Requirements:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
